Watchy is a very sweet gecko that came to us missing toes on his back left foot. He’s originally from a chain pet store, unsure of which one. He also has a nipped tail and in some pictures, looks like he could be developing floppy (FTS). So although he’s cosmetically challenged, he would make a wonderful pet. He gets his name because he loves to watch people… and look at his face! Fires up a nice burnt orange color.

  1. He is easy to handle, so he doesn’t mind but doesn’t always enjoy handling. He can be a bit jumpy right out of the cage but is not as hyper as some other geckos.

The pics above are him where he’s pretty fired. Here is another pic, not as fired, but does show his color. Watchy

  2. As a bio major, reptile researcher, and volunteer herp/therapy dog demonstrator, I’ve been searching for a “rescued” or rehomed crested to include in my pets/demo team. Watchy sounds perfect for our house! That is, if he can handle being in a 30 gal. viv alone in my office-o-herps. He’d be the second male (besides my husband) in this pit bull and reptile freak show we call a family. Would you be willing to compromise on his price? My budget for rehomed gecko didn’t include shipping (I was expecting to fall for a local), but he’s a such a cutie, I want to give him a spoiled forever home.

  3. Hi! I’m interested in Watchy. I see he has a few more interested but is he still available? I have a juvie crestie right now that’s a bit jumpy and I’m sort of browsing around for an older crestie that would be more docile. If you could give me an email, I have a few more questions to ask also.
Thanks so much for your time :)
    Amanda

  4. Would he make a good beginner gecko? I have been looking at cresteds for a while, but can’t find any cheap but large enough for my terrarium (29 gallon vertical).

  5. I think he’d make a great gecko for a beginner. He would do good in a terrarium of that size, he can be very active. Just remember that there is an additional shipping charge of around $55. Unless you live in Phoenix, Arizona, where we can meet locally.
